Industrial Advisory Council Meeting for the Electrical Engineering Department

The first meeting of the Industrial Advisory Council for the 2018/2019 academic year was held under the chairmanship of Assistant Professor Dr. Dhari Youssef Mahmoud, Head of the Electrical Engineering Department. The meeting was attended by council members representing several government institutions, including the Ministries of Electricity, Defense, Interior, Communications, Industry, and Science and Technology, as well as senior academic staff from the department.

The council discussed numerous issues aimed at developing undergraduate and postgraduate curricula to address workplace challenges. Topics included aligning with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the University Presidency to raise the department’s academic standards to global levels. The council also explored utilizing scientific expertise from the represented ministries to supervise postgraduate students, as guided by the Minister of Higher Education. The meeting concluded with discussions on mutual interests to enhance the university’s reputation and higher education standards.
