Virtual Scientific Seminar on STEAM Education

The Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Technology, in collaboration with IREX and the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, hosted a virtual seminar titled “STEAM Education: Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics”. Held on Monday, September 17, 2018, in Dijlah Hall, the event featured Dr. Jim Egenreider from Virginia Tech as the keynote speaker.

This seminar introduced Iraqi universities to the STEAM educational model, emphasizing its practical applications in preparing students for future job markets. The event was supported by the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Alaa Abdul Hassan, and coordinated by Dr. Uday Ali Ahmed.
