Field Visit to Ministry of Electricity Highlights Renewable Energy Developments

As part of fostering collaboration between academia and state institutions, a group of fourth-year students from the Electronics Engineering Division of the Electrical Engineering Department visited the Training and Development Directorate of the Ministry of Electricity on Tuesday, March 20, 2018.

The visit showcased the latest advancements in renewable energy, particularly the 15kW solar cell system synchronized with the national grid at a low voltage of 0.4kW across three phases. The group also attended a specialized scientific symposium titled “Green Generation in Distribution Sector”, delivered by Dr. Naseer Karim Qasim.

The visit provided students with a hands-on understanding of renewable energy technologies, further strengthened by the hospitality of the ministry’s Training and Development Directorate.
