Awareness Lecture on Cyber Extortion

The Electrical Engineering Department, in collaboration with the University Monitoring Division, hosted an awareness lecture on cybercrime and combating electronic extortion. The lecture, held on Monday, February 18, 2019, in Dijla Hall, was delivered by a team from the Ministry of Interior led by Major General Dr. Saad Maan, Director of Relations and Media.

The lecture highlighted strategies for protecting students and youth against electronic extortion through social media and smart devices. Methods for combating extortion cases were also discussed. The event was attended by the Head of the Department, Assist. Prof. Dr. Dhari Youssef Mahmoud, along with department associates, branch heads, faculty members, and a large number of students and staff.
