Department Hosts Educational Field Trip to Ministry of Electricity

As part of its ongoing academic activities, the Department of Electrical Engineering organized a field trip for fourth-year students to the Ministry of Electricity/Operation and Control Directorate on December 28-29, 2022.

Supervised by faculty members, the students explored the National Control Center’s units, gaining insights into managing Iraq’s electrical grid. They observed strategies for addressing power demand, resolving grid bottlenecks, and managing outages. The Director-General of the Operation and Control Directorate welcomed the students, who expressed gratitude for the opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
