Department Organizes a Scientific Visit

As part of the principle of scientific cooperation between the university and state institutions, the Department of Electrical Engineering organized a scientific visit for fourth-year students specializing in Electrical Engineering to the Ministry of Electricity / Operation and Control Department. The visit was supervised by several department professors. The students were introduced to the operations of the control and operation department, as well as the departments and units of the National Control Center. They also gained insight into the realities of the Iraqi national grid in light of the actual load requirements. Additionally, they learned how to manage the increasing demand for energy, address grid congestion, and handle potential faults.

The students were welcomed by the Director-General of the Operation and Control Department and several engineers working in the department. At the end of the visit, the students expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the efforts made to ensure the success of the visit.
