Electrical Engineering Department Hosts Seminar on Designing a New Energy Management System for Flexible Microgrids

On Monday, October 30, 2017, as part of the scientific and cultural season for the 2017-2018 academic year, the Electrical Engineering Department held a seminar titled “Designing a New Energy Management and Control System for Flexible Microgrids.” The event took place in Dajla Hall and was presented by Dr. Mohammed Hisham Abdul Hai. It was attended by the scientific and administrative assistants, branch heads, faculty members, and department staff.

The seminar introduced a novel three-level hierarchical energy management and control system for Microgrids. This system leverages the unique properties of renewable energy sources and energy storage systems, offering a departure from conventional approaches.

At the conclusion of the seminar, participants engaged in a discussion, posing questions and providing feedback, which were addressed by the presenter.
