Holding a training course on solar energy for graduates of the Electrical Engineering Department
Based on the vision of the Technological University in supporting its graduates in the practical aspect and in accordance with the directions of the Department of Electrical Engineering in providing graduates with the necessary experiences and skills to engage them in the labor market, the Department of Electrical Engineering, in cooperation with the Industrial Research and Development Authority – Ministry of Industry and Minerals – held a training course on (solar energy engineering and design of solar systems) for three weeks from 18/8/2024 to 5/9/2024 with a total of 30 training hours.
The course lectures were delivered by the solar energy expert, Dr. Omar Abdul Sattar, with a license from the German RENAC Academy, and the course was supervised by Dr. Os Habib, representing the Department of Electrical Engineering.
The course included application, tests, measurements and practice on the Authority’s solar systems, which qualifies graduates to work in this field.
At the end of the course, certificates were awarded to the participants by Mr. Abdul Razzaq Dawood, Director General of the Authority, in addition to a tour of the laboratories to see the available capabilities in order to serve and strengthen the frameworks of cooperation between the Authority and the Technological University and to activate the memorandum of understanding signed between the two parties.
