Electronic Engineering Branch
About the branch:
The Electronic Engineering Branch became independent in 2006 after it was called the Electronic and Communication Engineering Branch in the early eighties of the last century. Due to the difficult circumstances that Iraq went through in 2003, the Electronic Engineering Branch merged with the Communications Engineering Branch for the years 2003-2006 to become an independent branch again in 2006.
The study in the Electronic Engineering Branch aims to graduate engineers specialized in the field of study and design in electronic engineering from holders of a bachelor's degree, in addition to preparing scientific cadres specialized in teaching from holders of master's and doctoral degrees in accurate scientific disciplines and preparing qualified cadres to work in the fields of electronic engineering to support state departments and institutions and the private sector, including universities.
Vision:
The vision of the Electronic Engineering Branch is to become distinguished among the equivalent engineering disciplines locally and internationally and to be a beacon in scientific knowledge to keep pace with scientific development and a pioneer in higher education and scientific research by preparing engineering cadres in the field of electronic engineering in all its specialties to serve the community while providing a stimulating university environment to make the branch global in classification.
Mission:
The mission of the Electronic Engineering Branch is to prepare and qualify national engineering cadres in electronic engineering specialties academically, educationally and professionally capable of serving the community and meeting the needs of the labor market in accordance with quality assurance standards.
Objectives:
1. Graduation of advanced engineering cadres in the specialty of electronic engineering, academically and professionally qualified to meet the needs of the labor market.
2. Providing a distinguished university environment for scientific and research creativity.
3. Optimal utilization of available resources and capabilities to reach international academic accreditation according to quality assurance standards.
4. Contributing to the prosperity and development of society by providing it with research projects and providing advisory services that contribute to solving issues and developing society.
5. Attracting distinguished scientific competencies in the field of electronic engineering in all its disciplines locally and internationally to achieve the vision of the branch.
6. Strengthening and developing the relations of the Electronic Engineering Branch with equivalent scientific disciplines locally and internationally and with all relevant state ministries to serve the community.
