Division objectives

  • Legal representation of the college before the competent courts and official and semi-official departments.
  • Providing legal advice on all matters related to legal and administrative issues in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Promoting legal awareness and creating and strengthening legal ties between the colleges of the University of Technology through participation in training courses and seminars.
  • Preserving the rights and assets of the college and the university, and ensuring the protection of these rights with regard to those on study leave, on scholarships, and those enrolled in study fellowships who fail to fulfill their contractual obligations regarding study.
  • Promoting legal culture among members and students within the college by holding legal workshops and producing posters and bulletins that enhance individual legal awareness.
  • Ensuring the correct and smooth application of the law and regulations in all legal transactions, and organizing and following up on legal matters related to the college.
  • Providing the college with legal proposals that contribute to making legal information accessible to all, ensuring that employees are aware of their rights and obligations. The university student’s duties and understanding of his role in serving society.

Tasks and duties of the division

  • Representing the college or university before the courts by filing lawsuits against third parties, following up on them, and submitting all related appeals, up to the final stage of litigation. Conversely, in the event of third parties filing lawsuits against the college or university.
  • Proceeding with the Legal Unit through the Legal Affairs Department regarding lawsuits involving university members.
  • Providing legal advice in accordance with regulations and providing legal opinions to the Dean of the College and the direct supervisor by answering inquiries received by the Legal Unit in the daily mail.
  • Practicing the legal role by participating in the membership of investigative and auditing committees, student disciplinary committees, and organizing study guarantees and other committees.
  • Organizing guarantees and contracts (both loan and loan guarantees and study guarantees for graduate and undergraduate students), and organizing marital transaction commitments and car badges for college members, according to the notary public’s authority granted to us.
  • Providing the Audit Bureau The university’s financial department and the Internal Audit and Control Department, through the Legal Affairs Department, handle the quarterly anti-corruption position and the status of lawsuits (whether filed by the college against third parties or by third parties against the college).
