Ph.D. Dissertation at the University of Technology Discusses Enhancing Low SNR Communication Systems

The Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Technology awarded a Ph.D. degree to researcher Ikhlas Mahmoud Farhan for her dissertation titled Enhancement of the Efficiency for Low SNR Communication Systems.
The study explored communication systems designed for environments with low signal-to-noise ratios (SNR). The research emphasized the necessity of channel coding and integrating methods like code-division multiple access (CDMA) and multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO) to improve communication reliability. The study highlighted how these approaches mitigate adverse channel effects.
The discussion committee included prominent faculty members chaired by Prof. Dr. Khamis Awad Zidan, among others, and was supervised by Prof. Dr. Zafir Rafiq and Prof. Dr. Hadeel Nasrat.
