PhD Student Earns “Very Good” Grade in Electrical Engineering Department

On Thursday, September 14, 2017, Marwa Mohammed Merai defended her dissertation titled “Electric Power Quality and System Reliability Improvement Adopting Microgrid Strategy in Iraq” in Dijlah Hall.

The committee included:

Her work analyzed and modeled a microgrid for Karbala’s power distribution network, using MATLAB 2014a to improve efficiency and reliability. The committee awarded her a PhD with a “Very Good” grade.
