Publication in an International Journal by Electrical Engineering Faculty

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Montather Sami Shakir, Head of the Electrical Engineering Department, co-authored a research paper with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Qusay Abdul Jabbar Jawad and master’s student Ali Saad Hadi. The paper, titled “Estimation/Decoupling Approach for Robust Takagi-Sugeno UIO-Based Fault Reconstruction in Nonlinear Systems Affected by Simultaneous Time-Varying Actuator and Sensor Faults,” was published in the International Journal of Systems Science, a high-impact journal (Impact Factor: 2.469) by Taylor & Francis, UK.

The research proposed an innovative method for detecting and managing simultaneous faults in nonlinear systems, with applications to flexible robotic arms. The results demonstrated the system’s efficiency in fault detection and management.
