
Seminar on Fifth-Generation Mobile Technology (5G)
On Thursday, March 1, 2017, the Electrical Engineering Department held a seminar titled “Fifth-Generation: The Next Era of Mobile Communication Technology” presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ashwaq Qasim Hamid.
The seminar delved into the capabilities of 5G, which promises data transfer speeds of 10–100 Gbps and uninterrupted connectivity regardless of user density. It covered the system’s research origins and the wireless communication technologies involved in its design and implementation.
The seminar was attended by scientific assistant Dr. Abbas Hussein Issa, administrative assistant Dr. Kanaan Ali, faculty members, and postgraduate students. Engaging discussions enriched the session, facilitating a fruitful exchange of ideas.
