Seminar on RF Amplifiers for Modern Communication Systems
The Electrical Engineering Department held a seminar titled “Designing RF Amplifiers for Modern Communication Systems” on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, in Dijla Hall. Lecturers Firas Mohammed Ali, Haider Shareef Mahdi, and Insam Subhi Jabbar covered the topic in the presence of the department head, scientific and administrative assistants, and other faculty members.
The seminar explored the practical design, simulation, and implementation of RF amplifiers. Topics included transistor modeling for high frequencies, impedance matching using integrated elements and microstrip lines, and amplifier design parameters such as power gain, stability, bandwidth, and voltage standing wave ratio.
The session ended with an interactive discussion addressing audience questions.
