University Hosts Seminar on E-Learning

Advancing Education Through Technology

The Department of Electrical Engineering hosted a scientific seminar titled “E-Learning and Its Role in Improving the Educational Process” on January 4, 2018. The event was inaugurated by University President Prof. Dr. Ameen Dway Thamer and was held in the conference hall of the Control and Systems Engineering Department.

The seminar aimed to introduce the latest advancements in information technology and their applications in modernizing education. The agenda included sharing the department’s experiences with e-learning to improve traditional teaching methods and showcasing free educational tools from Google.

The event included two sessions:

  1. First Session: A lecture by Dr. Uday Ali Ahmed on “Google-Based E-Learning.”
  2. Second Session: A practical workshop on using Google Classroom in the department’s central computer lab, led by the e-learning team.

Faculty, staff, and students from across the university attended, and the seminar concluded with recommendations to integrate e-learning into the university’s curriculum.
