Workshop on Global Research Platforms

The Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Technology organized a workshop featuring lectures by Assistant Professor Dr. Ivan Abdul Zahra Hashem and Lecturer Dr. Uday Ali Ahmed. The event focused on registering with globally recognized research platforms, a key requirement for inclusion in international academic rankings.

The lecture provided detailed insights into the creation of profiles on four major platforms: Google Scholar, ORCID, Publons, and ResearcherID. Attendees were shown practical demonstrations on adding research publications to these platforms, emphasizing the central role of ORCID, which integrates other research platforms. Additionally, methods for transferring research and researcher information across these platforms were explained. The workshop was attended by the Assistant Head of the Department, branch heads, and a group of faculty members.
