Higher Diploma Project Defense: Muhannad Ghanem Jaraallah
On Thursday, January 10, 2019, in the Rafidain Hall, Muhannad Ghanem Jaraallah presented his higher diploma project titled The Impact of Neutral Grounding Methods on Ground Fault Characteristics. The defense started at 9:00 AM.
The committee was chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdul Rahim Diab Hamoud, with Dr. Kanan Ali Jalal and Asst. Prof. Dr. Inam Ibrahim Ali (Supervisor and Member) as members.
The project involved designing and simulating a distribution system for a substation using MATLAB/Simulink. Three ground fault systems were developed: solid grounding, neutral grounding, and reactive grounding. These systems were used to protect the proposed distribution system from faults. After reviewing the project, the committee approved the project with minor revisions, and the candidate received a “Satisfactory” grade.
