Master’s Thesis Defense by Nabeel Saad Subaih

On Thursday, April 25, 2019, a Master’s thesis defense was conducted in Dijla Hall at 9:00 AM. The candidate, Nabeel Saad Subaih, presented his thesis titled “Load Shedding Relay Control for Automatic Frequency Drop Protection in Power Systems.”

The defense committee comprised the following members:

The thesis aimed to design a load-shedding program to safeguard power systems during events causing sudden frequency drops. This work addresses situations where existing frequency regulation mechanisms in generation systems fail to restore nominal frequency.
