Master’s Thesis on Dual-Band Stop Filter Design

On January 11, 2018, graduate student Zainab Mohammed Abdul-Jabbar defended her thesis titled “Miniaturized Multi-Band Stop Filters Using Gradient Impedance Resonators.”

The committee comprised:

  • Dr. Laith Ali Abdul Raheem (Chair)
  • Dr. Ashwaq Qassim Hameed (Member)
  • Dr. Ahmed Hamid Rja (Member)
  • Dr. Raed Thaaban Hamad (Supervisor).

The study focused on designing compact dual-band stop filters using gradient impedance-loaded resonators. The proposed filters demonstrated high efficiency for multi-communication systems and were successfully simulated using ADS software.

The thesis was accepted with minor revisions, and the student received a “Distinction” grade.
