The Electrical Engineering Department holds a workshop on human rights.

The Department of Electrical Engineering/Human Rights Unit, in cooperation with the Iraqiya Hana voluntary team, organized
An awareness workshop on human rights under the title “No Bullying. In the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Farhad Osman Mohammed, and under the direct supervision of the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Jabbar Khalaf Mohammed, and the presence of the Department’s assistants for scientific and administrative affairs and a large number of professors, employees and students of the Department on Thursday, 6/3/2025, at the Euphrates Hall in the Department.
The workshop began with a welcome speech delivered by the head of the department to the attendees, and then the speakers began to deliver their working papers to raise awareness about the negatives of bullying and discrimination and how to eliminate them to ensure the rights of all segments of society to decent living and learning opportunities and to harness all youth energies to serve the country.
The workshop included several themes, where the following lectured:
1- Journalist Haider Al-Basir
2- Ms. Shaima Al-Hashemi, Director of the Muzayzoon Foundation for People of Determination and Abilities
3- Major Saja Al-Abayji from the Public Traffic Directorate
4- Ms. Janan Abdulkarim, a stuttering fighter and founder of Breathing Platform.
The workshop sessions were moderated by Prof. Dr. Hazem Al-Shammari. At the end of the workshop, the head of the department awarded certificates of appreciation to the lecturers and appreciated the efforts of the organizers of the workshop, namely R. Engineers Shaimaa Bahzad Ramadan, head of the Human Rights Unit, and R. Engineers Rasha Bassem Zaki.
