Workshop on Scientific Promotions Guidelines

As part of the 2019-2020 academic year’s scientific and cultural season, the Electrical Engineering Department, in collaboration with the Central Promotions Committee, organized a workshop titled “Scientific Promotions Guidelines and Procedures” on Tuesday, January 7, 2020.

The workshop featured a lecture by Prof. Dr. Faraj Mahal Mohammed, Chair of the Central Promotions Committee, who discussed the regulations for academic promotions outlined in Directive No. 167 of 2017. He also provided a detailed explanation of the promotions manual developed by the committee, covering the required procedures for academic advancement.

The event was attended by the department head, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muntazar Sami Shaker, along with administrative and academic deputies, heads of scientific branches, a large number of faculty members, and representatives from promotion committees across various scientific departments.

At the end of the session, attendees were invited to ask questions, share feedback, and present suggestions, which were addressed by members of the Central Promotions Committee.
